Trick or Treat?

It's Halloween! Will you be tempted by candy? What if you could be around candy and not be tempted? Sound Scary? Too good to be true? Well, it's not. I have some tricks of my own.

If you don't enjoy Halloween because of the candy that surrounds you, please call me on Monday. If we have a session in the next couple of weeks, you can sail through Thanksgiving without food cravings. How does that sound? How would you like to be in control with candy?

I had a few pieces of candy during the few days leading up to Halloween. So on the day of I could have one piece and be satisfied. I suppose that's an interesting way to handle this time of year. :-)

Thanks for your comment Beth.

That's great that you are able to enjoy a few pieces of candy and be satisfied. I find that when people stay away from something completely, they can end up eating too much, eventually. So, having a few pieces is wise.

Thanks Kara! I'm trying to keep it real. For instance, today while at the grocery store check out, I asked my body if I wanted a chocolate bar. The answer I got was "No." I could distinguish between my mind remembering how much I enjoy chocolate and my body that's recovering from a cold and doesn't find all that chocolate and oil in my body right now.

Great Beth! Listening to your body is key, and it sounds like you've got that one down. That's often what patients say after their sessions, so you probably don't need one.

It's helpful for others to know that being in tune with one's body, trusting it, and following through with ease, is possible.

Thank you for your thoughtful comments!
